This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of organization, protection and management of protected areas with a view of conservation of unique and typical ecosystems, genetic fund, study of natural processes in the biosphere and control over changes in the state thereof, and also ecological, historical and cultural education of the population. Regional protected areas shall be classified as follows: (a) state nature reserves; (b) nature monuments; (c) natural parks; and (d) dendrologica
