The Act aims at the protection of deers in the Tuscan-Emilian Apenninic Area (ACATE) as defined by article 2. The management of the deer population shall be carried out throughout the programmes and methods hereby described and on a uniform basis. The ACATE shall be subdivided into various areas according to different levels of protection.
