This Act aims at counteracting smoke emissions from sugar factories so as to avoid legal action against such factories and for this purpose establishes the Sugar factories Smoke Control Board. The Board shall register sugar factories and shall carry out inspections in factories for the purpose of preventing or counteracting any nuisance arising from smoke emissions.
