This Regulation establishes a European Maritime Safety Agency for the purpose of guaranteeing a high, uniform and effective level of maritime safety and prevention of pollution by ships within the Community. The Regulation is divided into the following Chapters: (I) Objectives and tasks; (II) Internal structure and functioning; (III) Financial Requirements; (IV) Final provisions.
