This Regulation replaces articles from 1 to 3 of Regulation (EC) No. 1406/2002 establishing a European Maritime Safety Agency. The amended provisions concern the objectives pursued by establishing the European Maritime Safety Agency, core tasks of the Agency and visits to Member States for inspection purposes.
