This Regulation lays down specific measures for agriculture to mitigate the difficulties caused by the insularity, small size and distance from markets of the smaller Aegean islands. The latter include any islands in the Aegean Sea except the islands of Crete and Evia. These measures are intended to meet the following objectives: (a) guaranteed supply to the smaller islands of products essential for human consumption or for processing; (b) the preservation and development of agricultural activit
