Regulation imposing a ban on pit-sawing and power-cain sawing (FDA Regulation No. 26).

The Forestry Development Authority hereby completely prohibits pit-sawing or chain-sawing operations and the sale of products thereof. Pit-sawing means small-scale commercial logging activities other that concession logging allowed in heavily fragmented patches of forests that are not suited for a grant of concession. The Regulation also provides rules for the (international) trade in sawn timber and round logs. Offences are defined and penalties prescribed. (10 sections)
