The purpose of this Regulation is to ensure management of artict char-fishing (Salvelinus alpinus) in Svalbard, maintaining stock productivity and ensuring recreational fishing is an important activity for residents and visitors to Svalbard. The Regulation ensures the fishing management for year 2014 and applies to fishing in and around rivers and marine areas in the Svalbard territory, including Hopen and Bjoernoeya. The fishing period for these activities shall be from 1 January to 15 October
