It is not permitted to Norwegian fishing vessels to fish and land Norwegian spring-spawning herring in 2014. Exception is however made for eligible Norwegian vessels to participate in fishery for Norwegian spring-spawning herring, and land up to 255 277 tons in Norwegian territorial waters and economic zone north of 62 degrees north, the fishery zone around Jan Mayen and in international waters. Of this quota, 619 tons are allocated to Iceland, 590 tons are allocated for research and education,
