In the framework of the protection of migratory species, the stock of which has been assesses dangerously low in the Dutch waters, the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries has decreed a comprehensive set of measures of which this Decrees forms part. Certain obligations to protect salmon arise from international agreements trying to re-establish ecological balance in the rivers Meuse and Scheldt. This Decree introduces the duty to return immediately to the sea any salmon or sea trout caught duri
