It is prohibited to fish for haddock in the fishery protection zone around Svalbard, however exception is made to Norwegian and Russian vessels fishing in the protection zone around Svalbard within the quotas allocated to vessels from these countries and with deduction from these quotas. Greenlandic vessels fishing haddock in the fishery protection zone around Svalbard can fish in the Norwegian economic zone north of 62N with the equivalent deduction from this quota.
