Resolution No. 279/1 of 1998 forbidding to fish the marine turtle.

In order to protect and to preserve the marine species, and due to the turtle is threatened with extinction, this Resolution in conformity with Resolution No. 2775 of 28 September 1929 on the control of marine fishing, decrees the absolutely prohibition of the fishing of turtle along of the Lebanese coast.
