Resolution No. 34/T of 2002 stopping the issuance of fishing licences for new vessels into the territorial waters of Syria.

This Resolution is composed of 7 articles. Article 1 halts the issuance of fishing licences for new fishing vessels into the Syrian Territorial Water. Article 2 fixes the number of professional fishing vessels operating in the Syrian Territorial Waters to be not more than 1850 vessels. Construction of a new fishing vessel shall be forbidden except in the case it substitutes a drowned or damaged licensed vessel, provided that the measures of the new vessel are the same of the old one (art. 3).
