This Resolution aims at the protection of marine environment against pollution caused by petroleum. It is composed of 6 articles. Article 1 prohibits the use of all kinds of marine barges, ships and tankers as floating containers for the transportation or storage of petroleum or its derivatives in the territorial waters, contiguous zone and exclusive economic zone of the United Arab Emirates. Article 2 prohibits all naval units to tow any of the aforementioned means. Article 3 revokes all licens
