This Act provides for access to information held by public bodies (defined by this Act) in South Sudan. The purpose of this Act is to: a) give effect to the constitutional right of access to information; b) promote maximum disclosure of information in the public interest; c) establish effective mechanisms to secure that right; and d) provide for incidental matters.
