This Act concerns the control of navigation on rivers in Guyana. There shall be a public officer who shall be in charge of navigation in any specified rivers of Guyana or any parts thereof and there shall be a public officer responsible for any tributary or specified part of a river and a deputy. Also subordinate officers and servants shall be appointed for purposes of carrying out provisions of this Act.
