This Act consisting of 12 articles aims at regulating the trade in wildlife and wildlife products by the system of import/export permits according to the rules of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). The permits issued by the National Commission for Wildlife Conservation and Development do not include farm animals, plants of agricultural crops and the wildlife organism or product obtained for the purpose of scientific research.
