The present Ordinance implements the Directive 2000/60/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council establishing a framework for Community action in the field of water policy. The Ordinance applies to the: 1) description, categorization and typization of waters; 2) compilation arrangement and assessment of the pollution and effects on waters; 3) monitoring of the state of waters, and their classification and description. The Ordinance consists of 16 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows:
