The Act provides for the institution of the Sentosa Development Corporation whose tasks and responsibilities are presiding on the island, its marine territory and navigation, harbouring and shipping activities; moreover the Corporation manage the resort and the touristic and recreational facilities on the insland in order to increase the economic and social development of the local population.
