Article 1 of the present Ordinance introduces some amendments to the Plant Inspection Ordinance in its consolidated version of 3 April 2000 (BGBl. I p. 337). In particular, it adds a number 8 dealing with importation of plants coming from third countries to article 1, paragraph 1; as well as a paragraph 2 to article 1 establishing that whenever a reference is made to the EU Directive 2000/29/EG of 8 May 2000 the annexes of the version in force have to be applied. It rewords article 4 dealing wit
