This Act establishes the Small Industries Development Organization as a body corporate, provides for its functions, powers and internal organization and provides for control of the Organization by the Minister. The Organization shall, among other things: (a) promote the development of small industries in Tanzania; (b) provide services necessary for the development of small industries; and (c) plan and coordinate the activities of small industry enterprises in Tanzania.
