This Act seeks to prevent or reduce theft of stock. Section 3 defines the application sphere of the Act. Section 4 concerns proof of ownership of animals. Any person who acquires or receives into his possession from any other person any stolen stock or produce shall be guilty of an offence unless he proves, to the satisfaction of the court, that he had reasonable cause for believing at the time of acquiring or receiving such stock or produce that it was the property of the person from whom he ac
