This Act seeks to amend the Tamil Nadu Co-Operative Societies Act, 1983. The Act changes certain dates for undertaking filings, etc., under the 1983 Act and includes a new provision on cooperative education. It states that every cooperative union shall undertake cooperative education and training for the members of registered cooperative societies and shall allocate necessary funds for the purpose in its annual budget.
