The present Law implements the Federal Waste Waster Charges Act which establishes that the Länder shall levy the charges for discharging waste water into a water within the meaning of article 1 of the Federal Water Act. The amount of the charge shall depend on the noxiousness of the waste water. The text consists of 22 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Assessment basis (I); Obligation to pay charges (II); Fixing and collection of charges (III); Common and final provisions (IV).
