This Act regulates traditional and alternative medicines practice and establishes the Traditional Medicine Practice Council as a body corporate. The object of the Council is to promote, control and regulate traditional medicine practice. A person shall not operate or own premises as a practitioner or produce herbal medicine for sale unless that person is registered in accordance with this Act with the Registrar of the Council.
