These Regulations abolish the United Kingdom Ecolabelling Board, which was the competent body in relation to the operation of a Community eco-label award scheme as introduced by Regulation (EC) No. 880/92 of 23rd March 1992 on a Community eco-label award scheme, and therefore responsible in the United Kingdom for the award of labels to products which have a reduced environmental impact during their entire life cycle.
