This Act makes provision for the registration of every vessel employed in navigation in any waters of Uganda. Registration, numbering and lettering of vessels shall be carried out in accordance with provisions of this Act. For these purposes vessels shall be divided into three classes. Upon registration of the vessel, the prescribed officer shall issue to the applicant a certificate of registry in Form C of the Schedule to this Act. Certificates shall be inspected annually.
