This Veterinary Instruction establishes that only clinically healthy primates that are born and bred at exporting farms or kept at such farms for at least two years shall be authorized for import into the Russian Federation. Animals must originate from farms and administrative areas under constant supervision of the state veterinary service and be free of infectious animal disease, including foot-and-mouth disease and anthrax.
