A regional Act to regulate in detail the protection of wild plants and animals, landscape, national parks and natural monuments in the region of Vienna. The local authority may protect endangered species of plants and animals by means of an Ordinance. It is prohibited to remove fully protected plants from their site; those partly protected may be removed. The same applies to animals. Fully protected animals may not be captured or killed.
