These Regulations provide for the prevention and control of discharge of waste (defined) in the air, waters and soil of titanium dioxide. They also define methods for the monitoring of discharges (Annex). The Competent Authority, being the Department of Environment Protection (reg. 2) shall ensure the prevention and progressive reduction of pollution caused by waste with a view to its elimination (reg. 3).
