This Ordinance introduces protection for certain wildlife on Ascension and in Ascension waters. It specifies in the Schedule prohibited wildlife products, which require a licence before they may be taken or otherwise handled lawfully. It also prescribes a penalty for the unlawful taking, damage or destruction of prohibited wildlife. The Administrator shall have the powers to establish closed seasons for particular species or prohibited areas and to prescribe prohibited means of taking wildlife.
