This Act establishes the Zimbabwe Mining Development Corporation. The operations of the Corporation shall, subject to this Act, be controlled by a board, to be known as the Mining Development Board. The functions and duties of the Corporation shall be: (a) to invest in the mining industry in Zimbabwe on behalf of the State; (b) to plan, co-ordinate and implement mining development projects on behalf of the State; (c) to engage in prospecting, exploration, mining and mineral beneficiation program
