The REC will hold its annual General Assembly meeting on November 8-9,
2012 in Szentendre, Hungary. This two-day gathering presents an
opportunity not only to discuss next year's work plan together with
signatory countries, but also to reflect on prior achievements and draw
attention to ongoing projects.
In order to showcase its recent activity, the REC has produced 13
unique posters dedicated to each of its primary work areas. Each of the
posters contains images and details from two separate but topically
related projects carried out in the past year.
Topics covered are: Participatory Governance, Health and Environment, Sustainable Development, Environmental Financing, Green Transport, Climate Change & Clean Energy, Law Development, Local Governance, Environmental Management, Water Management etc.
The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe (REC)
is an international organisation with a mission to assist in addressing
environmental issues. The REC fulfils this mission by promoting
cooperation among governments, non-governmental organisations,
businesses and other environmental stakeholders, and by supporting the
free exchange of information and public participation in environmental
decision making.
