The Protocol on Integrated Coastal Zone Management in the Mediterranean was adopted on 21 January 2008 , by the Conference of Plenipotentiaries on the Protocol on Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) in the Mediterranean held in Madrid, Spain. The Protocol entered into force on 24 March 2011.
