The accused was charged with carrying out classified trade without a permit and throwing litter in a public place in breach of the Environment Protection Act. The first charge was dismissed and the accused pleaded not guilty to the second charge.  The act took place during a demonstration.

Due to procedural faults, the Court abstained from commenting on the legitimacy of the respective acts of the accused and the police. The case was dismissed.
