According to the relevant laws and regulations of China and the Protocol between the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries and Cooperation of the Republic of Kenya on the Inspection, Quarantine and Veterinary Health Requirements of Wild Aquatic Products Exported from Kenya to China, the import of wild aquatic products in Kenya that meet the relevant requirements is allowed from the date of this Announcement. The requirements for inspection and quarantine of wild aquatic products imported from Kenya are provided in the Annex, including those for food safety, labelling/packaging, certification, etc.
The scope of imported products: Wild aquatic products refer to wild aquatic animal products and their products for human consumption as food, excluding species, living aquatic animals and aquatic animal breeding materials listed in the appendix of the Convention on international trade in endangered species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and the list of wildlife under national key protection of China.
