This Children's Development Plan of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (2021-2025) is a medium- and long-term plan for implementing the basic national policy of protecting children's rights. The main objectives of the Plan are: by 2025, the system of laws, regulations and policies protecting children's rights will be improved, while the gap in children's development between urban and rural areas, different regions and groups will be narrowed significantly; the working mechanism to promote children's development will be improved, the social trend of giving priority to children will be generally formed; children enjoy more equal and accessible basic public services, more inclusive and superior welfare guarantees, and a more harmonious and friendly family and social environment.
The Plan seeks to improve the nutritional status of children. The measures proposed include: pay attention to the nutrition of children in the first 1000 days of life, and carry out nutrition and diet evaluation guidance before pregnancy and during pregnancy and childbirth; Popularize the knowledge and skills of reasonably adding complementary foods for children over 6 months of age; monitor and evaluate children's growth and development, strengthen individualized nutrition guidance, and ensure adequate nutrition for children; strengthen food education, and prevent and control overweight and obesity among children; strengthen nutrition and health education and dietary guidance in primary and secondary schools, kindergartens and nurseries; increase the publicity and popularization of knowledge about the prevention and treatment of iodine deficiency disorders; Improve the food labeling system.
The Plan seeks to strengthen the supervision of children's food safety. The measures proposed include: strengthen food safety supervision; improve the children's food safety standard system; strengthen the safety supervision of infant formula food and auxiliary food for infants and young children, and strengthen the sampling inspection and monitoring of infant formula milk powder products and the punishment of unqualified food.
The Plan also require to crack down on cyber crimes that violate children's legitimate rights and interests, and strictly investigate and punish the use of child labor and other illegal and criminal acts.
