This Decree-Law, consisting of 63 articles divided into six Chapters, regulates the competence, organization, functioning and personal status of the members of the Land and Property Commission, and also sets out the rules applicable to the processing of its competence. The Commission is a legal person governed by public law, of an independent nature, with administrative and financial autonomy and its own assets, with the attributions and powers defined in Law No. 13/2017 of 5 June. The Commission is responsible for promoting the resolution of disputed cases within the process of recognition and attribution of property rights over immovable property, under the terms provided for in article 55.
