This Decree, based on the provisions of the Commodities Act and of European Legislation on food hygiene, and consisting of 20 articles, concerns: good hygiene practices and the application of HACCP principles in the Netherlands; restrictions on trade of raw cow's milk intended for direct human consumption; the creation of the hygiene code; requirements for food business operators and operators of food companies; bulk transport by sea of liquid oils, fats and sugar; direct delivery of small quantities of primary products by the producer; measures concerning raw milk.
Consolidated version, as last amended by the Decree of 16 December 2022 amending the Commodities Act Decree on Packaged Waters, the Commodities Act Decree on quantities of prepackages and the Commodities Act Decree on hygiene of foodstuffs in connection with technical adjustments, published in the Staatsblad no. 523 of 2022.
