This Decree, following the provisions of the European Regulation 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of food and feed law, rules on animal health and welfare, plant health and plant protection products, designates BV Quality Inspection Animal Sector as the authorised body according to the art. 31, paragraph 1, of the Regulation (EU) No. 2017/625. According to the Decree, the BV Quality Inspection Animal Sector performs the following task: taking samples from cadavers of sheep, goats and cattle for monitoring certain transmissible spongiform encephalopathies. The Decree also concerns: BV Quality Inspection Animal Sector duty to report to the Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality; Ministerial right to be informed on activities and performances of the authorised body.
