These Enforcement Regulations are enacted to implement the Act on Protection of Wildlife and Optimization of Hunting (Act No. 88 of 2002) and Enforcement Regulations on the Protection of Wildlife and Act on the Optimization of Hunting.
The threatened wildlife species as prescribed in Article 2, paragraph 4 of the Act shall be the wildlife listed in Appended Table 1. according Article 14, the prefectural governor must submit the notification form to the Minister of the Environment in case of designation of Designated Hunting Method Prohibited Area. The Enforcement Regulations further makes provisions for: designated wildlife species for control, game species, applying for permission for capture or collection, prohibition on capture, etc.
