According to the relevant laws and regulations of China and the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the Phytosanitary Requirements of Egyptian Fresh Pomegranates Exported to China, from now on, Egyptian fresh pomegranates that meet the relevant requirements are allowed import.
The phytosanitary requirements for imported Egyptian fresh pomegranates described in the Announcement include those for: permitted production origin region, approved orchards and packing houses, quarantine, labelling/packaging, phytosanitary certification, and the list of quarantine pests of concern to China.
