The present Government Decree applies to the control of anthrax in cattle, ungulates and horses. It lays down further provisions on the implementation of different Sections of the Act on Animal Diseases. Its provisions cover measures to be taken before and after anthrax has been established, including the duties of the supervisory authorities. When a case of anthrax is suspected, the supervisory authority shall take blood samples and check the health status of animals in the same holding. When a case is confirmed, Regional State Administrative Agency shall take the necessary measures to prevent the disease from spreading without delay, including those mentioned in Section 3. The holdings where the sick animals have been kept shall be cleaned and disinfected and other measures be taken to ensure the eradication of the disease.
