The present Government Decree lays down further provisions on the implementation of Section 8 and 9 of the Act on animal diseases as regards compulsory and voluntary health control, as well as the health categorization of establishments in connection with health monitoring. It also contains provisions on the animal species whose artificial reproduction shall comply with Section 46 of the Act on animal diseases concerning the approval of activities.
The Decree contains 24 provisions divided into the following chapters: 1. General provisions; 2. Mandatory health control of salmonella; 3. Voluntary health control of bacterial kidney disease (BKD); 4. Voluntary visna-maedi and caprine arthritis encephalitis (CAE); 5. Voluntary scrapie disease control; 6. Voluntary control of tuberculosis in deer; 7. Special provisions.
