Regulation on the use of groundwater for drip irrigation of agricultural land under horticultural crops establishes the procedure for providing groundwater use rights for drip irrigation of agricultural lands under horticultural crops, technical regulations for determining the suitability of soil and groundwater quality used for irrigation. The use of groundwater for drip irrigation of agricultural land under horticultural crops shall be authorized subject to the following aggregate conditions: (a) in the area of the location of agricultural land, there are no necessary sources of surface water for irrigation, but there are sufficient reserves of groundwater, which do not lead to a decrease in national security and reliability and do not affect sustainable supply of the population with drinking water, this fact is confirmed by the conclusion, issued by the Agency "Apele Moldovei", and an opinion issued by the Agency for Geology and Mineral Resources; (b) the technical conditions for the quality of groundwater do not exceed the indicators, established in tables 2 and 3 of the Annex, which is established by soil suitability study report issued by scientific institutions in the field of soil with an accredited laboratory; and (c) soil is suitable for irrigation in accordance with the parameters specified in tables 1, 4-7 contained in the Annex to this Regulation, which is confirmed by the research report on soil suitability, issued by scientific institutions in the field of soil, having accredited laboratory.
