The Regulations regulate the use of the names of various types of honey and prescribe compositional criteria with which such products must comply when placed on the market as honey and when used as honey in a product intended for human consumption. The Regulations also: prescribe additional labelling requirements for the honey products; impose an obligation on food authorities (a county council) to enforce the Regulations; apply certain provisions of the Food Safety Act 1990, with modifications; amend the Food Information (Scotland) Regulations 2014.
