This Joint Ministerial Order No. 8/2021 regulates the Price of Rice for Resale. Considering that the situation reported derives from several factors, which include the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the fact that the National Logistic Center (CLN) has food security stocks of rice, it establishes that the CLN must immediately proceed with the sale of the rice it has stored to face the current shortage of this essential food item, prioritizing population areas under sanitary fence under the terms of Government Resolutions No. 4/2021 and No. 5/2021 of 15 February.
