This Law amends the Law no. 187 of 2002 on the control of atmospheric pollution, with the purpose to harmonise Cyprus Legislation with article 16 of the European Union Directive (EU) 2015/2193 of the European Parliament and of the Council, on the limitation of emissions of certain pollutants into the atmosphere from medium-sized combustion plants. The amendment of the Law concerns: replacement of subsection 2 of article 26 on offences and penalties; adding of a new article, 26 A on extra-judicial settlement of offences.
