These Measures are formulated in accordance with the Regulations on the Prevention and Control of Geological Disasters, aiming to strengthen the qualification management of geological disaster prevention and control units, ensure the quality of geological disaster risk assessment and geological disaster control projects, avoid and reduce losses caused by geological disasters, and maintain the safety of people's lives and property.
The qualifications of geological disaster prevention and control units are divided into two grades, A and B. The Ministry of Natural Resources is responsible for the supervision and management of the qualification work of geological disaster prevention and control units across the country.
The competent department of natural resources of the people's government at the provincial level is responsible for the approval, supervision and management of Grade A and Grade B qualifications of geological disaster prevention and control units within their administrative regions.
