This Order, consisting of three Chapters and two Annexes, establishes the the operation regime of activity 3.4.2, "improvement of existing irrigation efficiency", inserted in action No. 3.4 "Collective Infrastructures" of Measure 3, "recovery of agricultural production", integrated in the Area 2, "Competitiveness and organization of production", of the continental Rural Development Programme. Support provided aims to promote the most efficient use of water and energy of existing irrigation projects and traditional collective irrigated land through: rehabilitation and upgrading of primary and secondary infrastructure, pumping stations and hydroelectric plants; improving the management of irrigation projects; improving the safety of infrastructure; introduction of more efficient technologies; rehabilitation and modernization of traditional collective irrigated land.
